About The Role

We are looking for an Assistant Editor to work in our talented, busy production team on a great show. Reporting into the Editor, the successful candidate will assist with the unique, daily challenges that arise from editing a 2.5D/3D animation show. 

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, organised, able to use their initiative and generally make themselves indispensable in this fast-paced and rewarding environment. The ideal candidate would come into this role with an understanding of basic animation pipelines and editing workflow.

 
The successful candidate will need to be based in the UK and will require the right to work in the UK

This is a short term, one month contract, starting late April 2026 with potential for a week to two week extension.
 
Day to Day:
  • Work closely with the Editor to keep on top of schedules and organise media across productions
  • Cut the initial assembly of animatics with an emphasis on timing
  • Keep edits updated throughout the various production stages
  • Communicate regularly with sound studio, from initial voice records to final mixes
  • Be organised and efficient when handling turnovers and final deliveries
  • Handling requests from production for various exports
  • Work closely and communicate well across in-house departments 
  • Assisting in the reviewing and critiques of work-in-progress.

About You

Must Have:

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and Toonboom.
  • Experience within animation and an understanding of the animation pipeline.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to pick up new software.
  • A good understanding of film and digital formats, files, frame rates, resolutions, colourspace and codecs.
  • A strong focus on narrative-based editing.
 Bonus Points:
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop
